Sam Hayes

Managing Director & Principal

Following five years in the wine industry Sam returned to Lindsay Park in 2001. After working for David Hayes in Sales & Marketing, he assumed the role of Managing Director of what was previously known as Lindsay Park Stud in 2005. In 2008 Sam purchased the Lindsay Park Stud business from David Hayes, which paved the way for the name change to Cornerstone Stud in May 2011.

Ross Hatton

Operations Manager & Nominations

Ross joined Cornerstone in April 2012. From Ireland, he worked on a number of well regarded Irish stud farms in various roles for over 10 years before coming to Australia in 2011. Entrusted with handling marketing, nominations and sales, he had his role broadened in December 2016 when becoming Operations Manager on the farm:

Greg Thomas

Administration Manager

Greg Thomas is the backbone of our administration. He handles all our bloodstock paperwork and everything from stallion bookings to insurance; transport to sale entries. If you want to know anything, you know you can always call Greg.

Scott Tolhurst

General Manager Finance

Scott joined the team in early 2015 as our General Manager of Finance and brings a great deal of different strategy ideas to the table which we often look to develop. Scott worked for much of his career as CFO and then COO of Grant Burge Winery in the Barossa Valley. He has a very keen interest in horse racing and a terrific understanding of how the equine business works.

Kaye Faulds

Administration & Finance

Kaye joined us in 2014 and is a rock in the office, no job is too big or too small. She holds a permit trainers license so has an in dept knowledge of everything from horse racing to computer systems, the ideal person for the position she holds within our team.

Trish Hayes

Events & Guesthouse Manager

Sam's mother, so often referred to as the 'real boss' in the office, Trish is in charge of organising all events that we hold on the farm throughout the year. Additionally she manages our on farm guesthouse for clients and is often spotted pruning her rosebushes around the gardens and farm yard.

Dr Campbell Baker B.V.Sc

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Dr Baker is one of the most respected vets in Australia. He lives 5 mins from the stud and is at our beck and call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Joining Dr Baker's practice in 2016 will be Dr Fiona Herzog who has been based with Goulburn Valley Equine Clinic in recent years.
